Key Handle??

Hi

Has anybody any idea on this? Is it a key handle, if so how old? It has typical file marks but no suspension loop. I can find the shape amongst keys on line but not the knop.

Hoping someone might just recognise it. It has an obvious break at one end.

Scale is centimetres

1300-1450 strap end spacer. Usually they are broken so it's nice to see a complete one.
