Sand scoop recommendation ?

Post by KGBKENT »

Hi, I'm retired and due to location and also some mobility issues digging into soil I'll be concentrating on beach detecting in the main. With that in mind could anyone suggest a sand scoop? I've looked at quite a few. Many appear to be very flimsy where the pole attaches to the scoop

Willing to spend up to around £150
Must come with minimum 48" handle and with an actual handle (not just a straight rod)
Prefer a smaller scoop. Something similar to the Coob Scout v2
(Unfortunately Coob only appear to sell a very expensive carbon fibre handle)

All suggestions gratefully received - Thank You.

Thanks Alan - looks exactly what I'm looking for and straight to the top of my list. I'm taking a look at the Scoops section before make a final decision.

Best Regards,

Keith.

Evolution 360 is fantastic. If you have a look at my post "sand scoops on 20/2/23" shows a modification I did which makes it so sturdy. You can get a bit of thick pipe insulation from coofix which fits perfectly over the shalf so when it bangs on your headphones it does`nt do you head in!!!!........ [49/]

Many Thanks for the advice all. I got the Evolution 360. Having had the benefit of some months with it what a superb bit of kit this is. Feels like it could lift a tractor out, superb build quality - what a difference a decent scoop makes. If your in the market for a Scoop - highly recommended.
