Bent, creepy and just plain saddening

Post by leslie(nova scotia) »

Early appointment with my surgeon who without a doubt has a chip on her shoulder. She informed me in a very snotty way ; "The shoulder has to be replaced. " 45 minute wait for 2 minutes with the doctor to tell me what I already knew.
Anyway that did not drive me drink...yet. Instead I headed home and grabbed Zen Guru. Heading here and there hitting a park there and where aver. Found a few bent coppers next to a creepy crawler. Next an eyeball find of a pair of sunglasses. Moved on to another park.
Here I thought that they had decorated for Christmas as I walked down the road to the main park. Lord love a duck it was not Xmas ornaments but various colored plastic bags full of doggy dew. Seemed like every tree had at least 2 "decorations." Knew at once it was not the mobile manure makers who tossed the bags into the trees as they cannot throw that high. Dog owners got it at least half right. Mind you there was a garbage can a mere ten meters down the road.
Anyway I dug till the soreness crept in. Stopped at the local bakery to get my hunny bunny a few sweets along with a lottery ticket on the 80 million draw...lol....fat chance there.

Hi Leslie,
sorry to hear about your shoulder. Sorry to hear about the dog poo on the threes. It happens here in the UK, for some reason I cannot understand.
It would be better if they just left it on the floor, at least the rain would taken them away and the carbon cycle would take its place. Now we have poo inside a forever plastic bag.

At least you got out detecting and found quite a few coins there. Anything interesting?

All the best to you!

Same here in Essex. It seems that certain dog walkers bother to bag the poo when someone is watching but as soon as the coast is clear just chuck them away, often hanging from trees like grotesque Xmas baubles. As you say. makes more sense to leave it to the elements.

Yep, it's a regular occurrence here too Leslie. [27/] I'd like to think that responsible dog owners wouldn't do this (we have three ourselves, but wouldn't dream of it). Disgusting habit... I'd hate to see these people's homes. [84/]

Yet another interesting depiction Leslie of your successful time out detecting in the parks and wilds of the Blue Nose country and showing the proof of your success [81/]

As for Poo Bags in trees - Yes, it's so often the case that a minority through their mindless actions project a thoroughly incorrect and undeserving image of the greater majority of (in this case dog owners) and marks the perpetrators as being nothing less than devious, inconsiderate, anti-social law breakers. Perhaps the odd photo image when caught in the act and uploaded to any (or all) social media sites may prove something of a deterrent!
All the best. Eric

Hi Leslie, sorry to hear your shoulder has finally given up. Knowing you the doctors advise on rest will go in one ear and straight out the other [87/] . Anyway I would be more worried on the " bent coppers" in the park. [49/] .

Many years ago before the bags of Dog droppings became a thing, was in France for the day. The pavements were caked in it. There was a guy driving a machine to clean it up. Crossed my mind how does it know when the tank is full and would it explode if over filled. [49/]
Always a joy to read your reports, Leslie.
Cheers, [81/]
Dave.
