Hi everyone.
I bought a detector to look for my lost phone on a campsite (didn't find it, although I quickly found my wife's phone used as a test!) and I was wondering if there was anyone active here in Orkney who was looking for a buddy?
I'm retired and live in Stenness, so I'm available at most times.

Hello Alan. Thanks for the response and sorry about my tardy reply. Things have been a bit hectic with a 'new' motorbike and then a flu thing!
As you might guess from my forum name, I am originally from Northumberland (born in Wallsend, which was in Northumberland then and still is as far as I'm concerned ).
Our son lives in Ashington and we are down quite often so I could be giving you a shout, if you want some company!

Good luck with your detecting ventures in Orkney.
I have been there a number of times and detected once on a few beaches with a couple of decimal coins to show for the effort. However i was there to enjoy the geology and scenery as well as catch the Northern Lights on a cold February evening.
Wonderful place.
