does it have remains of thread? a side view would be useful and is it magnetic?

Yes, it is magnetic, I also think that the thread was originally there but no trace of it remained, as if the object had been cut cleanly.
I'll try to insert another photo, it's an object found by a friend of mine.

In the cleaning, the initials Orenstein and Koppel came out, so the part can be attributed to heavy machinery
