Hi Folks.
I have the Simplex Plus.
Is there any way at all of eliminating hot rocks from the detector without losing any other finds, its doing my head in the fields here are full of the stuff of varying numbers and tone sounds, from scratchy to clear.
Any help welcome.
Many thanks.

Not without potentially losing other finds no

Dig 'til you've gone out of your mind

What are we dealing with
A lot is subjective
2 every swing
1 every 50 yards
Field round here are full of them
Coal
Coke
Mine tailings
Something else
Are you using manual ground balance or auto
If the sensitivity is too high, you will dig more hot rocks and miss more small targets as they get lost in all the noise

I hope I’m not going off topic here or being unhelpful but I have found a way on my 400i of getting rid of hot rocks. I used to dig loads on a certain field I go to, but now virtually none.
Coke, on my machine always shows up as 52 on the digi scale and usually there is a little quiet side grunt, a little crackle of interference.
I reckon eventually, if you concentrate on clues you’ll find a way of cutting it out, not by discrimination, but by recognising clues from your machine.

Just a case of having to put up with the stuff. I take all pieces i find off my fields to reduce the quantity for future searches.
