One extra important point though. I think that C-Scope needs to differentiate it's offering from the bottom end of the marketplace.

I've attached an image of the box of an off-brand, lower end detector (making sure to crop off the name). C-Scope needs to avoid looking like this!!!

How many bad detectors have been in Shiny Glossed boxes...ALOT...

If it puts you off the Purchase of an Evo.......You should look to a different Hobby...
its all about Quality and Performance of the detector, With Cscope im sure you will get Both

That is what I was getting at in my post that was deleted by a moderator.

Whilst it might not influence an experienced or knowledgable detectorist that buys the item because of what’s in the box, the box design is very likely to influence a first time buyer, and the person buying a detector for a third party as a Christmas/birthday gift.

An eye catching box design that tells the potential customer what the item is, and what it can do, plays on peoples perceptions and is more likely to influence a purchase than a plain box.

It be nice to see what they do come up with on the final day

If a newbie or infact a experienced detectorist walked into a bricks and mortar store and sees a vast array of detector boxes and they see a very bright packaging with actual images of the detector and what the subconscious finds that could be found with that detector or a very bland packaged detector the odds are going to be the high visibility one will win hands down.

We are all aware that it cost more to make this extra packaging and its only going to be thrown away or store the detector,but subconscious mind when it sees these bright packaging kicks into play and the potential new owner will buy it solely for that reason.

Marketing brainwashing is what its all about and although it does add costs to the final price tag it certainly works,the new C-Scope detector certainly looks the part and breaking away from the mould that the company has portrayed for decades,times have moved on and the whole concept of detecting marketing has also changed,the new packaging is 'ok' but not physiological powerful as what it could have been.Having a decent new product is fine but its the whole package that makes into a potential hot seller.

As long as the box and paperwork is gender neutral and racially diverse.

I can see the dilemma manufacturer's are facing. Those new to the hobby would probably skip over the C Scope machines and their understated boxes in favour of something more colourful.

However, the quality and performance of C Scope machines has consistently been excellent over the years. Everyone with any years in this has had a C Scope and negative comments about their performance is rare.

No other brands are going to be dissed here, but based on performance C Scope are right up there and then some.

You're just not going to get a flashy box with it. I can live with that, some people won't though.

im not interested in flashy expensive boxes, all fur coat and no knickers, give me a good product, in understated packing to keep costs down, as here with c scope.
Too often flashy boxes with gold coins etc adorning them with mediocre plastic fantastics inside.
C scope produce great machines with little fanfair in their packaging.
Most people buy a detector knowing what they want, even newbies will ask advice, this machine is targeting the seasoned detectorist who knows his onions.
It's a beauty in jeans and a t shirt!
