That's 3 hammered coins this year already. To put this in perspective I only got 2 all last year!Oxgirl36 wrote:Lovely hammie!! How many have you had now?
See you were rewarded for going back to GMP. I was considering being unfaithful to this programme once I'd had my Deus 2 or 3 months but I've decided I love it. I can't be bothered messing with stuff all the time. If it isn't broken why change? Guess I'm the faithful type![]()
As we know the grass isn't always greener, and certainly isn't paved with more gold![]()
Good luck on the next hunt
My first thought was it was part of a Roman brooch but Ironman (detecting buddy extraordinaire) stole my thunder and said it's a piece of furniture mount.oldartefact wrote:was wondering what the thing below the buckle in "average bits" is???
Hi Trev.. I dont think that its a furniture mount as the decoration seems to be 360deg on the shaft bit rl; rl; rl; I would go with a possible strapmount, possibly medieval, but I'm not an expert. Thank-you for posting the additional pic.samuraitrev wrote:My first thought was it was part of a Roman brooch but Ironman (detecting buddy extraordinaire) stole my thunder and said it's a piece of furniture mount.oldartefact wrote:was wondering what the thing below the buckle in "average bits" is???I will post a picture of the reverse tomorrow if it helps.
I'm not sure if it's anything of interest?
Just sending you some deusdiggerdiary good vibes your way (actually wiggles fingers at the screen) Now all you need to do is go out metal detecting and eventually a hammered coin will come.Bully1970 wrote:Great finds again, i'd be well happy with that.
Never had a hammy
For me it took also a decade - a decade of detecting, to stumble over my first gold coin last year.samuraitrev wrote:Another decade has arrived and I still haven't had my gold coin dream come true. I really believe that this is the year though.
