Part hammereds for ID.

Post by Easylife » Fri May 18, 2018 1:19 pm

I was on some previously well searched cultivated ground with the HF coil in 28khz and winkled out these two bits of hammered silver both at about 4 inches deep.
The first one is 16mm diameter and I'm guessing it is an Edward IV penny of London mint?
The second one, my first ever found cut hammered, or is it just broken? A short cross of 18mm diameter which also seems to be London mint but I could not see a match for the position of the curls in relation to the letters. Any ID help appreciated.
