Just my luck

Post by pengles » Sat Jul 14, 2018 10:46 am

Whilst out yesterday in a pasture permission a lady popped her head over her back garden and asked me if I'd found anything etc. Had a nice chat and she very kindly gave me this coin which she found in her garden flower bed some years ago. She had no use for it and thought I'd be interested in it. If I'm correct it's an Emperor Magnentius 350-353 AD, and is a beauty. Can't quite work out the denomination yet. but it does have some monetary value, so of course, I can't keep it, so back it will go to the very nice chatty lady. Just my luck. Ha!

That doesn't happen every day! Are you going to offer to help to 'dig' her garden?

Phil. Ha! Yes, I would do, but sadly she found it in the garden of her previous house some distance away.
