Equinox 6" Coil - First Hunt

Post by Bargeman »

This morning before it got too warm, I popped up the farm to see Bob the Log, and also have an hour on the stubble with the new 6" coil fitted to my Nox 800. Being small and light it is very manoeuvrable in the stubble, but it can get hung up with the small holes on the coil cover, maybe this could have been solid?

I really did only spend an hour in the field, and found a few small items as you can see in the picture below....

1930 Sixpence
Farthing
Lead bag seal
and another broken watch winder (I seem to find a few of these)

Maybe some clever person could come up with a coil cover that was solid underneath.

Any more thoughts on this 6" coil now you have had it longer?.

I really needed a small coil today due to massive amounts of trash in the one area but another £169 for what will be very limited use ?.

Are they actually available off the shelf yet? I thought that I had my name down for one but I haven't been contacted yet! The Youtube videos on them look good. :D

I was told by JA yesterday that they would probably be with UK dealers in October, and the 15" later in the year?
