Unusual hammered for ID

Post by Trenchie » Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:11 pm

Hi guys, my father in law recently recovered this coin from a pasture field. It’s his first find since picking up a Deus and was found in quite a trashy corner of a field 7 inches down with the Deus set to Deus fast mode. It’s possibly the oldest coin to surface on this permission, which incidentally is about 10 west of Swansea. Apologies for the lack of scale but the coin is 18mm across. Any ideas on a possible ID? Thanks, Trenchie.

It certainly is! It gave my father in Law a
much needed boost of confidence after a shaky start with the Deus.
