Be a turn up if they paid it!!!!

Slapster it would be a turnup if Devon paid because as the op says It’s the Seaton in Cornwall.

I spent a few hours just around the corner on Downderry today, first proper time out with the detector since buying it AGES ago.
Found a handful of rusty nails/screws, an old £1 coin, a 1m length of chain, various bits of melted aluminium, and a scaffold pole I had to leave in place
Had a great time regardless, glad I didn't go next door to Seaton knowing you'd cleaned it up

If you find used rusty nails, do they count as hammered?
