Help needed making decision today! Go-find 44

Post by Dougal » Sun Jul 14, 2019 2:33 pm

Hi All.

Yet to buy my first detector and spent over 2 days now looking at reviews/videos and Amazon.

Not even sure if detecting is for me but looks fun!

I think most of detecting will be on the beach - realise capabilities in wet sand but seen both in action in the sort of conditions I'd expect. Narrowed choices down to 2 machines, one of which is a Go-find 44.

Looked at all the pros and cons and wondered but if anyone with experience of the 44 could comment would be helpful,

The Go-find's display, larger coil and better operating frequency sound good.

Help!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

Sorry for confusion. More confusing for me when I read the published version!

The post was "edited" so it omitted the comparison because it broke the rules.
Photography is another hobby so I know!

Still considering but getting to the end of the road and have gone from "cheap" detectors to more expensive models. Once the pinpointer and all the other accessories are included it looks to be pretty expensive just to try.

Probably going for the GF44 as would be great to have something small and light and once I've struck gold a couple of times upgrade if necessary.

Thanks for your help.

Andrew
