Help!!! Worth buying the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV ???
Help!!! Worth buying the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV ???
Hi All.
Yet to buy my first detector and spent over 2 days now looking at reviews/videos and Amazon.
Not even sure if detecting is for me but looks fun!
I think most of detecting will be on the beach - realise capabilities in wet sand but seen both in action in the sort of conditions I'd expect. Narrowed choices down to 2 machines including the
Bounty Hunter Tracker IV
Looked at all the pros and cons and aware that the 2 I’m considering are quite different machines but anyone with experience of the Bounty Hunter that could comment would be helpful.
The Bounty Tracker's better build quality and simplicity looks good.
Help!!!!!
Thanks in advance.
Andrew

Re: Help!!! Worth buying the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV ???
Hi Dougal,
Bounty Hunter Tracker IV have had since 2005 and still use occasionaly on dry sand or on inland areas for surface finds in grass.
Suitable for dry sand , not wet. Very accurate but lacks depth, probably around 6" on coins but bearing in mind most recent losses will be fairly shallow. Needed to upgrade to a machine with more depth, once I finally secured an inland permission,.
Hope this is of help,
Dave.

Re: Help!!! Worth buying the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV ???
Hi Dougal the Bounty Hunter was my first ever detector and I used it for coin shooting on the busy beaches in south Wales on the dry sand only. Found my first ever gold ring with it. Used it in all metal mode. Not very deep but loads of fun and it got me hooked

Thanks Shadowcloud.
I think I've settled on one - not sure if I'm allowed to mention the brand here - but appreciate the comment.
