What have I done.....

Post by Muddyknee »

Said a while back I was gonna upgrade to a Nox 600.
Well......I lied......got me the 800.
Now all I've gotta do is navigate the myriad of everyone's settings, this may take a while......

Nox 800,that is all.

You're gonna love it
This machine talks to you if you are prepared to listen ::g

Plenty of topics and settings discussions too on the forums, loads of help and advice waiting

My first trip out with it when i got it was just field 1 with default settings, then after a couple of sessions i was tweaking to my liking and the fields i go to
Kind of an intuitive learning curve

It’s the simplest machine I’ve used in 27 years , once you’ve set your own personal audio and break settings, there are only 2 settings to adjust ..recovery and iron bios
Anything else like sensitivity backlight all metal etc is common sense

I’ve seen the 600 miss targets the 800 hits on many occasions, I’d not waste money on the 600.

Just kidding about the last bit :)) :))

Well done. The 800 is a more versatile in that you can fine tune it to your taste and your sites a bit more than is possible with the 600. If you possibly can get somebody to show you the ropes, it really does save a lot of angst. If not don't be too impatient, the basic Field 1 is fine but it doesn't handle iron particularly well so you will dig more iron to start with. Best of luck. :D

Great choice and one that I'm sure you won't regret. I purchased the 800 last October and very rarely do I revert to my other machine (but on occasion it has been known). ::g
