Metal Detecting

Hi lovely piece of kit one question why would you need to use 10 on discrim for a type of metal or not?

Thanks OJ for that tried out a few things with it today with coins, no problem also I like the look of it to be fair, tonight I dropped onto the beach came up with tinfoil and then I a crisp clear sound and I found a 2005 5p coin I was delighted my first find in 32 years, what I would love to hear a setting on my machine to pick up decimal and pre decimal coins and just discrim the junk whats your take on this one.

Hello Claybreaker,
