Please refer to the Mandatory Requirements for all ID requests and see below for example ID images (taken with a phone).

ID requests must include at least 2 clear images (front and back) of each object and a metric scale in at least one of the images, with cm segments/numbers and mm/cm divisions clearly visible eg the scale available to download on this site.

Ideally the object/s will be aligned against the beginning of the scale and will have been cropped, if necessary, to reduce unnecessary surround/background:

.
Alternative appropriate scales include rulers and tape measures but cm segments/numbers and mm/cm divisions should still be clearly visible:

Just a quick note to this..
The printable scale ALWAYS prints to the wrong scale for me..( too small - 1cm =9mm ) - I have tried every possible method of printing it and on my Cannon printer, it is always wrong, so if you do print it , please check it with a steel ruler.. [81/]

Did you take note of the details on the scale download page as below ?
Can be printed on any medium and specifically fits the A4 size.
Important - When printing the pdf make sure to set "actual size" and do "NOT" use any "fit to page" option

Yes indeedy [87/]
" I have tried every possible method of printing it"
It is never the right size - it may be my printer, but it is worth checking when it is printed ...

I have seen the same issue with other "print yourself" scales from PDF files , so it is not just this one.

I thought first I would check you had not missed that vital bit of info [81/]
As you say some printers will not print accurately, I have had experience of that myself.

Thanks Ruth.

Forgot to crop the pictures on my last post. I’m bit new to this. Have edited accordingly.

All the best Nick.
