1862 half penny question

hi, why are some 1862 half penny really expensive, and some are a few pound? for example, one says rare die letter c? thanks

These coins are very complicated with lots of obverse and reverse combinations. The die letters are beside the lighthouse, or not.

Condition is everything and rare variations, mint marks etc, then there's the Honolulu penny, sometime Britannia's trident is resting on her knee and other pennies have it resting on her....
