Ring, olive or ferrule?

Post by daveypocket »

Copper alloy ring found on plough with Nox600 on factory settings. Not much to look at but appears to be old. Any ideas as to what it was?
Thanks for looking.

One of the most posted finds on the forum. 99% probably horse tack related whilst other options are inner frame of a Dorset button and rather optimistically ring money or annular brooch outer. [81/]
