Hi All, Last year on the beaches for me from Brighton to Bournemouth the finds rate was poor I did put a fair bit of time in but slim pickings. 2022, 2023 so much better. This year only done my local beach twice a week for two and a half hours less than previous years. Every trip has been good no need to shoot off somewhere else. This morning 19 coins £9.10, bullet, fishing weight...Good luck and happy hunting.......

....and that`s from a pro!!......
It`s mad I`ll travel to any beach between those two points but my local one is producing the best. The beach has very, very low footfall. Some of the crazy busy beaches I do I come away so disappointed. I do find low footfall beaches can be good news. Good luck........

I know winter without the tourists makes for pretty thin pickings but after 2 hours on the beach I had only 25p. Even ring pulls and bottle caps were scarce.

May be doing a bit more dry sanding, as the Winter permission has just finished, until Harvest.
Looks like most of your coins have been lost for years. Look the same as my £ 1.53 coins a few weeks ago.
Good Luck,
Dave.

I agree, possibly because they have not been so heavily detected. I got about 10 pounds of fishing weights this morning plus loads of pre decimal coins, best a George III bullhead shilling. It'll do anyway.
