I'm afraid thats not me Ian. Although me and the Mrs have been on a couple of the Yorkshire Searchers digs.
We joined the Dukeries last year and was made really welcome. The club is thriving, at one of the last meetings capping the number of members was bought up. I don't think we have arrived at the number suggested yet so spaces may still be available.

Hello. I'm new to this - waiting for my first detector to arrive in the new year - and thought I'd look for a local club. I live in North Anston so am quite local. Can I turn up and join on the night?

Could anyone provide a phone number or email address for this club?
I'm looking to join but struggling to find any details online.

Thanks in advance,

Hi all,
Do the meetings at the miners welfare club still take place on the second thursday
of every month and can potential new members still come along.
I haven't seen any recent posts indicating that they still take place, i just don't want
to turn up and look like a complete buffoon

Hi, yes it is still at the Miners Welfare. There is a meeting this Thursday and I'm sure they would sign you up if you attend. You will need your FID/NMCD card also.

Cheers
