Following on from the after the storms thread, i am interested to hear and see evidence of the moving sand.
is it possible for you coast dwellers to take some "before and after" photos?
i would love to see how much a beach can move with a good blow up.

there may be archived photos of the damage caused by storms, which i will trawl through.

good luck to you beach searchers, and enjoy the weather.

Ive not got photo evidence, but when I lived in the Midlands I frequented Blackpool beach on a regular basis.

There is a sewer pipe which runs from the prom right down the beach into the sea.

In summer you cannot see the pipe, hoever, I have been on in the winter months and actually walked under the pipe.

That must have been 12 feet of sand ripped off the beach.

Ive also been on their when they have opened the storm drain and again it flows from the prom down to the sea and has cut a scarily deep trench through the sand.

It really is quite amazing how the beaches change.

Cut looks very promising, your finds should shoot through the roof.

Will try and take a couple of pictures at the weekend of my beaches, it's dark when I goto work, and dark when I get home at the moment which also conincides with low tide.
