does aybody go to camber sands regularly? i went yesterday and detected for about two hours. all i found was foil ,ringpulls, bottle tops and scrap iron , some very deep . i used a xs2apro in both beach and max sensitivity inland mode where i could get away with it and know its working ok. is this normal ? i know all the "you've got to walk over it to find it" etc but would have expected to find something. has this beach been done to death?
cheers john

Hi sounds like your detector is working as it should. Just have to keep puting the hours in and some nice items will turn up normaly in the trash areas.
This week i must have dug up 150 nails or more from horse shoes, i have the tesoro laser trident 1 but had it set to include some iron because i dont want to miss the small silver coins and any small copper alloy parts. The soil is easy to dig very loose.

good luck from frogeye

Hi Johno,
Camber takes quite a bit of a bashing from fellow detectorists. As a club we went down there in late November and found pretty much the same stuff as you did with the odd coin thrown in for good measure. Only one ring found all day so there is still some bits there. Hope that you have better luck in the future. Rob [:)

Hi Johno,
ive done Camber sands and same as you, it was full of trash, walked away with a 20 pence coin and 20 odd pull rings and plenty of foil. When i was there it was being done by another 7-8 detectorist's, all had same trouble (trash). been done to many times i think. Guess you just gotta walk the right steps,
who dares wins an all that :-SS
