Metal Detecting

Ok got out for a few hours this morning and used my new found Google earth pinpointing to go to exactly the right spot on the field errrrrrr NOT. Still cant suss out the anomaly but did find a few bits today strange was one area that I thought was the anomaly and all I got was some strange little bits of lead. The biggest is the rolled up piece and is the size of a Rollo (no ya cant have me last one), the others range from half a peanut to a fruit gum. However I did come across a nice Strap end Buckle whole thing about 3 centimeters long by 1 centimeter wide check the pics and anyone any idea why the concentration of lead nuggets. Oh was also evidence of roofing tiles, bricks and some rusty nails (these where very old ones) though not a great amount to say there may have been a building.

Paul, all good fields seem to be full of useless lumps of lead......but what it does show is activity and people smelting and shaping lead.....keep going buddy i can smell those coins ....

Funny ya should say that Paul cos Ian reckons he can see 2 line thingies running along one of the fields

Now unless he's got eyes like a hawk or its time I sued Specsavers, I can't see a damn thing, even had me spyglass on the monitor screen... see if he can show me tomoz.....

MMMMMM well I knew it was of some age though must admit did not dare think that old, if ya got any links to buckle databases (specially ones you used to come up with the age) I would be apreciative.

Me too Bruce however think the acidity or chemicals used on the land not good for coins the only coin and so far all the buttons have been totaly smooth.

Lol whats the odds it power lines, sometimes they show up like a rd or sumat then you suddenly realise what ya got, must admit they fooled me a few times

Mikek it is not a coin just a small brass/copper disc/cap
