Ah but a few coins are always welcome.

Bit of an odd place to find a crabbing line though. Can't imagine many of those being caught from a beach. Was on south milton sands (Thurlestone, Devon) yesterday and was told a few other md'ers had been on the beach the day before and cleaned up, with a few gold and diamond rings. I managed only decimal but £9.30 isn't too bad for a few hours.
Very windy today though so I guess that will change the beaches, just not sure which way its blowing in from. Knowing my luck it's just depositing more sand.

Is that a posh doggie tag?
Had a sort out of my 'junk' box and I'm surprised by the number of tags I've found...nearly always come back with one or two

Nice bits there....can anyone tell me why the wind has anything to do with being on the beach, cos if i travel to maybo or skeggy some 40 odd miles its just pot luck if its windy or not, maybe thats why i dont find much....although the first and only time i went i found £2.00

If you have a onshore wind usually the sand will come off. A off shore wind will build the sand up and you have long-shore drift as well that moves the beach along here where i live in Devon there is no long-shore drift but on the south coast there is that's why there are groins on the beaches to stop the beach from moving these a good coin traps.Beach searching is a lot more hard than people think but when you suss your beach out it will give you the goodies good luck
