Quick tip

I know this is obvious but I have seen a few people detecting the beach with mini spades.
If you plan detecting the wet stuff use a long spade and drag behind you, it will leave a line in the sand so you can see where you have already been.
Not so important at places where the tide only goes out a short way but here in Burnham the tide goes out miles.

Another one is to mark a decent find hole with an X. You will often see a pattern forming

forget the spade, you really need a ss sand scoop for the beach, it will save you a lot of time, backache and heartache

I am only 20 miles from the coast, must get out there after a storm and see what turns up, great tips, Liam

I do the draggy shovel thing!
And there is no way that scoop would work the the CS4pI....!

no, the scoop just tags along, its the Ash Fork Handle that operates the etrac, i just relax and let them get on with it

Not much good on our shingle beaches here in Dorset though LOL not much choice but a good old spade for me I'm afraid, looks a great bit of kit for sand though.
