Nice haul there Nev, looks like you eventually got into gear
I always found the Gold hard to come by at Filey as well for some reason.

Glad you found a patch Nev, Its just finding the bands of harder sand, soon as you move off them the finds seem to dry up. Theres not really any early stuff turning up, mainly 40,s onwards, even pre 47 is a rare find at the moment. Some more rough weather coming soon so that might help

Was just washing my finds Nev, 160 Non Ferous finds today, just from that area, But a lot of it is just scrap bullets, 22s and shrapnel etc. shame theres not really any quality. And there is a good reason why theres so much brass etc on the beach, Think Ray knows the story better than me! Might have a check on a few other beachs in the morning see if i can find us some gullys

Theres not many ferous finds on there, Ray will know more than i do, but sometime in the past a Detectorist took buckets of scrap brass etc and threw it all over the beach, after a argument with another digger, in places theres a signal every couple feet

You will have to let me know next time your over here, Had a look at Bridlington this morning, but the south side is still sanded in, will have a look on the North beach, But it looks like the North Yorks beachs are better at the moment,
