Will A Minelab Coil Fit An Ace250?

Just had a look out of curiosity at my sons Ace250 coil connection and saw it is the same as my Safari.

Will my pro coil work on it? I plugged it in with no problems but didnt want to turn it on in case I damaged something.

Would like to know more about the wiring side of coils and how they work if anyone has any good links.

Anyone ever made there own coil?

Cheers Fishy ::g ::g

I'm led to believe they won't, different frequencies, and coil windings makes then non interchangable.......... If they all did then a coil would only cost a tenner, cos china would be pumping them out by the thousands...... ;;z

Would a more complicated answer make you more or less likely to try out this idea? The answer is still No.
Take a look here: (cut and paste)

No I just wanted to understand a bit more about coils and how they are made/work.

A simple no didnt help much. It did answer the initial question tho :D

Thanks

From what i found out

this is at your own risk

If you find a Coil that fits and not sure on the Frequency there is a button inside the garret that regulates the coil to suit the Garrett

Watch the Vid how Garrett is made
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What ever modifications you make are 100% at your risk
