Sun morning on the beach

What a cracking morning its been weather wise. Ctx seems to back on track thank god. Nice to be back on the wet seeing what's the tides revealed. Few bits found
Clad
Viccy penny's
Sixpence's
Bullets
Pulled a nice bone knife handle out which was intact until I knocked the concretion off, would luv a date on it.
And an unusual Viccy penny that looks to be silver plated :-/

The Knife handle looks Georgian Tomo, Probably from a folding pocket knife ::g

You just need to let it dry out very slowly, but the remains of the old Iron pins need removing, as they can expand and crack the bone. Amazed it survived that well from a beach, All the decent bone or ivory items I have dug came from inland waterways, or Thames side Building sites

It was deep Down in the black sandy mud stu. It popped out the hole when I was digging a Viccy penny out. Now its drying out and shrinking the bits of concretion's left on is falling off.
