A 3 Hour Detecting Session On The Beach.

This morning looked a good day for detecting and as the fields here all have crops sown I decided to check out one of the local beaches.Noticed that the sand had shifted in places so walked past the bay (in photo 1) and spotted a pre-decimal 1d on the surface so thought that would be a good place to detect.Area concerned would be around 30 square feet.I was using my minelab se professional on the factory preset as the sand was shallow, the coins all being within 2" of the surface.Nothing special turned up,the oldest an 1878 farthing and the latest a 1989 1p.The object under the decimal coins is brass and I believe it is probably a bit of furniture decoration.
