Yesterday evening I returned to Clacton, this time concentrating on the area of dry sand near the pier where most people tend to congregate.Found 52 coins in about 4 hours detecting and of the haul,44 were clad some in shocking condition at that.Found a child`s purse about 4" deep that contained nothing except 10 coins worth 95p but no indication of who it belonged to.It was evening time and the beach was deserted. Most of the coins found were 1p`s (33),total value of the finds £2.56.Still,although nothing of note turned up,it was a pleasant evening to be out and I do like to keep my hand in detecting rather than sitting around :-w waiting for the fields to become available again :))

The area wasn`t too contaminated so I searched in all metal mode just to see what I could turn up.
