WW1era Mills Bomb parts

Found on the slope of a wooded valley on one of my permissions. I believe the larger bit to be part of a rifle grenade?

The base plugs are all marked No5 and variously dated 1916 with different makers. When I find these on the Somme they are intact with screw thread on sides-these are blown out

Nice finds. Your other bits are from rodded rifle grenades, possibly no. 3. Hang on and I'll find you a pic......

All inert parts of grenades! I must say I dug very carefully. Been to France many times and seen live ones laying innocently on top of fields!
