Hello rattzzz
We didn't include any handle options with our scoops for a few reasons but the main ones being that many people have their own preferance as to whats best and secondly the length of the handle pushed the postage up so we thought it best to let the end user sort this item themselves.
We can list on the auction site a handle if we were to know what you require but I know some of the guys have used a TV ariel mast from the likes of B&Q and these are a cheap option at around a tenner.
I don't know where they come from but a chap called Paul Cee has fitted a carbon fibre one and his vids are on U-tube.

Cheers Steve for your reply you have gave me a few options there, i will look into what you say and if i get stuck i will come back to you if you don't mind. I get up your way quite often so to collect would not be a problem.
Thanks again
Neil

Hi, if you go down the ariel mast way don,t buy from b&q or simular places as they are only thin section alloy,go to a good tv ariel shop [best i know is opposite the barracks at hillsborough sheff] the quality is far better. needed one myself for a satellite dish on the van, trust me I,m an electrician

good meeting you the other day.

We based our Evoultion scoops on taking an off the shelf 28/29mm broom handle as an easy available option.
These aren't the strongest but are readily available and cheap.
You then have options to fit one of the more bespoke solutions like ally, fibreglass, stainless or a good hard wood.
On our Pro Scoop we have allowed for a pole of up to 32mm dia to be fitted with the supplied 'U' bolts and can go to a larger dia of 45mm by fixing through the tube and using the holes in the rear of the shaft holder.
We would also do a handle welded direct to the scoop if required but postage does go up due to the length of the package.

The idea is you return them, they are not given to you as a reward for breaking your leg they are lent to you and you take them back for the next user ,the same with zimmer frames etc ,nice handy metal though but not a lot of good in salt water and touching steel i expect the galvanic action is severe?
