Hi Clint, I don't think you will get anywhere trying to have it replaced by warrenty, but Regtons did it for me once, and said that will be it, people say it's because of rough handling but that's a load of rubbish, I am on my third one now, it's down to bad manufactoring, it seems funny it's the same pin that falls out.

you might be able to manufacture a temporary pin from the copper earth wire in house ring main cable. It is soft copper. just a thought.

I repaired mine by screwing in a tiny screw into where the pin came away, works a treat, been using it for over a year. Screw came out of an old mobile phone.

This problem got my attention because the sprung probes look very much like commercially available ones used in the electronics industry for test/calibration jigs, automatic test machines, etc. In which case they are possibly repairable.
On test beds, the sprung probe is normally inserted in a holder. Electrical contact to the holder is often done with a direct solder joint. The probe itself is just a firm push-fit, so that it can be replaced when worn or damaged through repeated use.
I've not seen a Deus charger, so can anyone tell me - will a spring probe pull out of the charger clip with a firm, but not too firm, pull? Eg. using a pair of pliers, but protect the gold plating with a scrap of cardboard. If it does, then it should be possible to source a replacement. They come in a few standard sizes, I'll try and get a pic of a few that I have lying around, plus the holder.
Also, does the charge clip come apart in any way? Screws? Internal clips? Or is it a one-piece moulded lump, or glued together?

For just £13 for a connection clip I would personally be inclined to just purchase a New one ::g
Trying to make something up may cause damage to the coils gold contacts.

Here's examples of the probes I mentioned:
From L to R: probe, holder, probe in holder, different probe, holder, probe in holder.
It's possible they've just soldered to the probes directly, in which case you would need to open the case to resolder new ones. If they're in holders, it's easy, provided the probe can be identified.

I always keep a spare as they are inexpensive.

Mind you it took me 3 years to break one.

Just out of interest the spare lives with the car charging kit just in case either I or another Deus user needs it on a club or rally event. ;) Jerry.

Looks a bad design where the charger has to connect to the coil, they should revamp that, looks too flimsy

Glen mate I am in total agreement with Mike don't even consider trying to mock up a repair that could damage the coil. I purchased 2 and every time one goes bust for just £13 I get a new replacement so always have a spare.

Keep on swinging
