Metal Detecting

i think this was used for weighing out wool, but not sure of the age of it. i found out that there is something similar in the british museum. but this has no design on the face, and has been hit by a plow by the looks of things.

Looks like a medieval trade weight from the 14th/15th century. Used by merchants at fairs and markets or shops.
