The storm sessions!

The storms hit our beaches hard but it took some searching to find the good spots. Over 4 days I hit 3 different spots. Day 2 got me into a few six pences.

Image

Then I picked up a few jewellery items. The heart I think was a pendant, but the circle came away when cleaning :( . The dolphin looks like it is set in pewter and the other item is a mystery!

Image

Then onto day 4. I went back to the area where I found the heart and was pleased with my first ring, but the band has snapped. Had a series of £1 coins and then the better ring came up. It is hall marked so pretty sure silver but not checked detail yet.

Image

Any ideas if the snake ring has any age? No idea what it may be made of. Also how do I make my silver sparkle?

Image

The sand now seems to be shifting back into place :( . I understand now why beach folk love the winter storms!

Great haul of finds. For those close enough to get some beach detecting in it's a good time to do some - just be careful out there guys & gals. Make sure you know the tide times and don't be a hero!

In the first picture, the grey items with the grooves in them.........they are part of the internal fuze/striker column from a British no. 36 M grenade. :)

I often get a few military bits mixed in my finds. Its nice to know what they are. Most beaches seem to turn up something military. Thankyou. I didn,t have a clue!

Electrolysis is best way to get crud off silver. There is a few threads on here how to make an electrolysis doo Dah all you need is an old phone charger and a couple of crocodile clips.
