Ive got a farm of about 30 fields, but this one tiny pasture field which is just smaller than a football pitch is the only field ive ever found hammered on out of the lot god knows how as it was about 10 inches deep. i found the hammered with my ace250 and it was in immaculate condition, ive also found coppers from George 2 upwards in amazing condition the soils good so anything down there is going be in good nick i feel,. The field has a waterpipe going to the farmhouse only a foot below the surface directly down the middle of it (gives off an squeaky iron tone)

As its never been plowed, and decent finds are going to be deep, what mode am I best using? Ive only got the Deus Lite. I was thinking either GMP or Deus Fast with the senstivity bumped up a bit as its quite a clean field, theres not much iron ive only had one or two horseshoes off it. I was just thinking with the faster recovery and that on the Deus ill find more on there than i did with the Xterra.

The faster you make the machine I.e. The higher the reactivity, the less depth you will get. Lower frequencies will get you more depth too. Deus fast is a shallow programme for trashy sites. Try gold max (not the power), turn down the descrimination as low as you can bear and up the sens as high as your can bear and swing low and slow........good luck! ::g

I used GMP in the end went out today for couple of hours. Found what I think is a lead shield trade token ? Its white with like pattern engraved into it, will clean it up tomorrow found a huge musket ball and another lead weight looking item, makes a change cause all ive ever found on it is horseshoes horse buckles and foil in the past ! ::g
