Just a Thought Beach Directory

Just a thought, is it possible to create a beach directory on here for forum members?
I was thinking of a database/directory with General information, history, car parking, Galleries of the beach and finds general advice on tides/best areas, public toilets and location, covered by crown estates permit etc. It could also have member reviews like a trip advisor star rating for accessibility ( ie distance from car park, steep steps etc,) Car park charges, amount of rubbish, quality of modern finds, quality of old finds etc, I'm sure your getting the idea. The directory could be split in to different counties and listed in order of ratings.
I am sure there are lots of other possibilities for it just wanted to start the ball rolling.

Im not being funny but metal detecting is about hard work, personally i wouldn't give up hotspots that have taken me hundreds of hours to find, all that will happen is 100's of detectorists will hammer those areas, not a good idea (my opinion)

The truth is, yesterday's hotspot might be tomorrows barren bit. As the tides move the sand constantly, so the hotspots move with it. The best way to find a hot spot is days of putting the hours in and searching until you find one, bearing in mind it might be gone or have moved the day after.
If there was a definite producing none moving area on every beach, the list would be worth a mint but alas in real life it's not that simple.
Put the hours in and find that spot, sometimes it's worth it.

As you know I beach and land detect, also I moderate on this forum,so please take this as intended.
I don't mind sharing amenities locations etc,but please never ask for hotspot or area information,as the previous posts have mirrored,it takes time and effort to get that information for yourself, never mind letting every man and his dog know where it is....all that would happen is every beach detectorist in the vicinity would hit what you have found, thus resulting in it no more being a hotspot.

I think just a list of the beaches you are allowed to detect on would be great. Sometimes the crown estate maps are difficult to work out.
