Just read in local N Wales paper that the council has cleaned out the boating pond at West Shore and dumped the sand etc onto the beach .The waste is said to be contaminated with bird droppings among among other waste and stinks the place out.Previously the waste has been dumped on farmland.why not this time there is a warden on the beach that keeps dogs off a section so why dump s--t from the pond there .So beware if you intend going to Llandudno detecting over easter the crap may still be there unless a protest by the locals has got the council to move it elsewhere . I quite often detect on the beach there during the summer months but this has put me off not that I find much except for modern coins .

Yes you are right about the views especially the sunsets over the sea ,there is a local who detects beach most days for pocket spills so you have got to hope you get there before him.

It is only sand in pond it's concrete and shallow used for model boats but you maybe right about the odd ring but the pond is cleaned out every year so no long term stuff in there ,Hmmm now where's my mask and rubber gloves i'm off to search the crap NOT lol.

No doubt the sea will reclaim it quick enough it's taken half the pavement in those last storms down that side.
Funny to see the paddling pool on the other beach half full of pebbles dumped by the storms must be 100's of tons.
Cycle down there a few times a year. Anyone know if the path has been cleared and repaired yet.
