Nice bit o' sunshine

Motored down to Talacre yesterday morning and hit the beach by 06.45 hrs. By lunch time my digital camera had thrown a hissy fit, my headphones had given up the ghost, and I broke a weld on my hand trowel. And to top it all, I didn't find a single coin.
The Safari sniffed out plenty of scrap brass and copper though and the sunshine made for an otherwise pleasant day with plenty of dog walkers and some four other detectorists.

Fortunately, it's not often that an experience such as yours strikes so when it does, there's nothing to gain by being negative and moaning about it. Glad to see it's your view too.

I must confess that I thought I had it all sorted on Friday night. All batteries and equipment were double checked and prepared for the off come Sunday morning, but alas fate had other plans lined up for me.
My Garmin plotter worked well though and I was able to plot some OS map references for a couple of earlier finds that I am beginning to think may be related to each other. All a bit like those dot-to-dot pictures that we used to do as kids.
