Watching that, I'm wondering how far Roman coins could travel. Would 60 Romans in a 8.5 acre area be treasure? :~#) Last time I spoke to my FLO, I had 30 in that area and he said nothing about it being treasure - he's been on annual leave for the past two weeks, should I wait to ask him on the 1st March when he's working again or worth contacting the coroner?

On a well used Roman site particularly those of the 3/4th C will contain large numbers of individual losses which are not from a single scattered deposit and so would not be Treasure. The intrinsic value of low denomination Roman coins of that date was very low a bit akin to people dropping or discarding low value decimal coins today as of little value and not worth picking up.

60 coins sounds a lot, but i am sure others on the Forum will tell you that is inreality not a lot.

Thank you very much [81/] I'm sure it's not a lot compared with how many there are around - still that amount is very interesting to me. The video worried me that I could lose them and any reward for them.
