Help with an ID for this mount please

Post by Larry123 »

Found on pasture in West Cornwall with the Deus II

A fairly heavy mount with thick black/green patina, about 6cm long, it has a rivet which has been hammered flat on the back between the rivet and the back of the mount there are traces of copper alloy so has been fixed to something metal not furniture. Its crudely made, looks like it has some age.
There is a rough area at the top so maybe a break, perhaps a handle or more moulding.

Thanks in advance :-)
