Minelab Pro 25 Not Working Good

Post by Newfielover »

I think my old ml pro 25 is ready for the bin, only kept as a back up to my carrot. It turns on and off ok but the noise and sensitivity is awful. Before I say a final prayer to the old guy has anyone tried to repair one.

Have you tried a new battery?.

I have had cases where I thought the pinpointer had reached the end of its days and a new battery has solved the issue.

You certainly can't assume that a new battery is any good just because it is fresh out of the packet either. [88/]

Fred, do you have ESP and managed to read what I originally went to put up but decided not to?. [38/] :-/

A while back I got a new Minelab Pro after a very short while it started bleeping for no reason, sensitivity was crap, and turning itself off.

Thought it might be a duff battery supplied with it so got a new battery (one of the top brands) and tried ..... exactly the same [70/] [70/]

Nearly sent it back to seller with a strongly worded note giving my thoughts!.
Also wondered if it was worth the effort and accept it as a loss and bin it and get another Nokts / Makro pointer which I had previously.

After having it in the car boot for some time, and seeing it every time I went detecting, but not using it, the one day I decided to try a third battery ..... it worked perfectly.

Not only had it come with a duff battery, but I had then replaced it with a brand new duff battery! [70/] [70/]
