Two hoards and treasure find

Post by Majorp »

In 2020 after first lockdown I went out on my only permission as I had only recently started the hobby. Considering the permission had detectorist on it for 10 years I found my first hoard 3 early middle bronze age palstave axehead. Then two weeks later a 1450/1550 silver religious devotional heart pendant then a few weeks later a scattered hammered coin hoard Edward 1st, 2and and 3rd 20 pennies, 2 groats and half groat all still in the treasure process.

You only go round the block once! So you might as well go round it with a smile on your face (2:)

Couple of guys who I no and detect it had viking silver . And where I had my axheads was by 4g phone mast turned sensitivity down to 21 and still chattering so could understand why it didnt get detected I took my mate the next day he had late bronze age socketed spearhead and I have discovered two bronze age burial mounds reports gone in with axeheads . I had double spread in magazine

Wow, the condition of all those coins is fantastic, if we didn't know better you'd think they'd been cleaned.
