Hi all I'm a beginner at this and recently brought my my metal detector

As a newcomer to the hobby, my personal advice would be to head over to the blue panel on the left which contains all the necessary information for a smooth, trouble free detecting journey.
There are also forums dedicated to all the mainstream (and some other) detectors which should be worth a browse regarding your new machine [08/]
