Hi regarding fieldmaster metal detectors if the early ones circa 1975 are anything to go by they should still be a good machine.
I dont know if they were pricey or cheap in the day but found the F44 to be a good machine for its era in terms of depth and sensitivity although they were a tad heavy...
Fieldmaster seemed to evolve their machines but have never really advertised as much as say Cscope which can be a good thing as well as a bad..

I did think after my post that being made in the UK it might be tuned a bit more to our coins etc, as the American stuff doesn't know what a hammered coin is
