I was out for 3 hours yesterday on a recently drilled field, crops at short grass height, amongst the usual half a dozen worn coppers back to George III a squashed silver thimble and a nice watch winder I found my first gold milled coin after 3 years and 4 months of trying. A Victorian half sovereign and such a shame with the condition. My guess after finding a lot of furniture trash in the area it was left in a piece of furniture that was getting burnt back in the day.
Gave a medium-low solid two way tone from all angles with a bit of iron grunt in the background reading 27-29 on the Vdu, tight circle bang on and half way none ferrous line and a solid 27 flat out of the hole, 4 inch deep on dry ground with my Manticore, if this helps a bit with any members like myself learning this nuts machine
