going to the coast the weekend and wondered if my cscope cs2mx will work on the beach...

Like most other motion machines,it will work fine on the dry sand,on the wet ,however,it may sound off a bit,this is because it is constantly trying to retune itself due to the conductivity of salt sand,you can compensate by turning up the disc and/or lowering the sens,I used a fisher 1265 on the wet sand,for many years,this I belive is a simalar to the 2mx,i soon got to know the difference,between good sigs, and chatter,incidently,some motion machines ie the minelabs ,dont seem to be affected by wet sand

thanks for the advice...didn`t go in the end got a new permission only a few miles from my house, went there instead.
