beaches in Ilfracombe area?

As above, holidaying down that way soon is there anywhere worth trying and does the silly duchy of cornwall beach permit apply here?

Ilfracombe is in Devon so the Duchy of Cornwall has no authority over the area ::g, but it also isn't an area detectable under the crown estate and foreshore permit. ;;z The massive beach just a few miles to the west at Woolacombe is though. ::g

I live about 15 miles from Ilfracombe and detect the taw torridge estuary around the Instow area...I'ts a crown beach so just obtain your instant permit via their site and away you go...Happy hunting...
